Foreskin restoration is real

Many people think foreskin restoration isn't real. They compare it to penis enlargement scams.

But it's just skin stretching. When you gain weight, your skin expands. When you lose weight, you have excess skin. The foreskin works the same way.

I didn't believe it was possible until I searched for 'foreskin restoration' on X/Twitter. I saw men who had worked for years and achieved amazing results.

What is foreskin restoration?

Foreskin restoration helps circumcised men regrow their foreskin without surgery.

The process is very slow, taking 4 to 6 years. Most people give up before they finish.

You stretch the remaining shaft skin to recreate foreskin coverage.

While the additional skin tissue isn't a true foreskin (the anatomy is slightly different), it provides many of the same benefits and can look indistinguishable from natural foreskin.

Why men restore their foreskin

Men choose restoration for several reasons:

  • Increased sensitivity and sexual function
  • Aesthetic change
  • Healing from unwanted circumcision
  • Less irritation from clothing

How restoration works

There are two primary methods:

  1. Devices

Purpose-built tools that apply constant tension. Most devices need existing skin to grip.

You'll need some progress before using them.

  2. Tape

Apply surgical tape to hold skin in an extended position. Add tension with weights or elastic fabric.

Surgical tape adheres to the skin very well but can also be removed without pain.

What tape to use

The tape I use is 3M Micropore Surgical Tape, 1530-3(opens in a new tab).

These medical supplies have confusing names, so let me explain:

  • 3M is an American brand
  • Micropore is a sub-brand
  • 1530-3 is the product code. It's a roll of surgical tape that's 7.5 centimeters wide and 9.1 meters long.

Timeline and results

Restoration requires years of consistent effort, and results vary from individual to individual.

Many men report:

  • Increased sensitivity
  • Better sexual function
  • Greater satisfaction with appearance

I've been restoring for nearly two years now, and I've made really good progress.

I don't have a foreskin yet, but I have much more slack and can partially cover my glans when flaccid.

Resources to get started

Michael Four inspired me to start restoring. Check out his restoration website(opens in a new tab), which has amazing progress photos and great resources for beginners.

Conclusion

Foreskin restoration is a real option for circumcised men.

It requires a serious commitment, and the process can take years. But many men find it empowering and satisfying.
